Open Questions / Comments to the HOA Board

HOA Board members are:  Sandra Johnson - President, Michael Henry - VP, and Adrienne Martinez - Secretary/Treasurer

Contact information available at www.ridgemesas.com
  1. The drainage and common areas need to be mowed on a regular schedule without homeowners having to call and remind ProComm.
  2. The Mesas gates need to be repainted.
  3. Homeowners would like for the gates to remain closed during the day (not just at night).
  4. Explanation of why $10,000 of our HOA money was spent on suing two homeowners for a total $1000 of initiation fees not collected at closing instead of just filing liens on their homes.
  5. Some residents have requested more speed bumps and speed limit signs to protect children playing.
  6. Explanation of why a Rainbow swingset / playscape was installed at the community pool instead of industrial type playground equipment used at schools (such as www.miracleparkplace.com)
  7. Explanation of why the CC&Rs are not being enforced by the Architectural Control Committee.  Also why homeowners are not allowed on the ACC.  For example, pink exterior house colors should not be allowed.
  8. There is a chain link fence around the basin at the entrance of the Mesas (Rio Springs and Hot Springs), which does not meet the CC&Rs.  This fence should be replaced with a rod iron type fence similar to the community pool area.
  9. The sediment basin at Rio Springs and Hot Springs was overflowing during heavy rain and has now been corrected by increasing the earthen wall height as directed by the engineer, Pape-Dawson.  However, the area is incomplete and still needs to be re-sodded.
  10. There should be a reserve study and funds set aside for repairing streets, community pool, club house, etc. in the future.  Details need to be provided to the homeowners of how this is being accomplished.
  11. Request at least 30 days notice for the annual meeting instead of the minimum 15 days.
  12. Consider changing management companies.
  13. Go out for bids for new landscape company.
  14. Request regular communication from the HOA Board on how these issues are being addressed.  A number of these concerns were raised at the last annual meeting held on December 3, 2009.  However, no newsletters have been provided by the Board to the homeowners during 2010.  Also, letters and emails to the developer, Galo, go unanswered.  We would like at least quarterly updates from the Board.
