The city's 25th annual National Night Out starts at 6 PM with block parties, cookouts, parades and other festivities meant to inspire communities to lend a hand in law enforcement. Festivities have really evolved over the years from “turn on your light and meet your neighbor”.
Texas' anti-crime celebration comes two months after the rest of the nation. This year, the National Association of Town Watch, headquartered in Wynnewood, Pa., moved the party to October in hopes of sparing Texans the summer heat.

Garage Sale
The Ridge across the street is having a community garage sale on Saturday, November 8th from 8 AM to 1 PM. If you would like to put your things out at your own home on that day, you may. The advertising done by ProComm, which includes a newspaper ad and signs, will list both communities.
